  MSN9 Parental Controls 2003    
I stepped up and took over the design responsibilities mid-cycle for Parental Controls and quickly familiarized myself with the some of the challenges of the product. I sat down with PM's from MSN 10 and discussed and brainstormed ideas for upcoming features. By doing these things I was able to have a positive impact on the product.

Microsoft Design Day 2003    
I developed several interactive kiosks by working  with other designers to gather, organize, and set up templates to showcase thumbnails and screen shots. In addition to creating the screens and creating the flash media, I cut out monitor signs, uploaded kiosks on machines, and manned the booths.

On this project I brought creative energy to the table  and helped the team think out of the box. I was able to handle criticism through various iterations and moved forward coming up with good alternative solutions. Unfortunately the business case had issues and the project did not get the green light from upper management. Some of the work was leveraged as a creative resource for a preliminary version of MY MSN

  MSN Kidz Experience 2002    
Leveraging work I had done on Customizable Flash modules, I drove the design of main module on the Kidz Website. Richard Bray (MSN GM)  showed the Kidz homepage at a Microsoft company meeting and used it as an example of some of the cool stuff that was being launched for MSN8.

  Network FLIPS  2002    
  I was a key player in an effort to create richer more engaging media on MSN. I used Flash and leveraged a 3rd party application ( MetaStories) to create rich media templates that content editors could easily manage and update. I evangelized and worked with my peers to establish a quality bar for this process across the network.

Drove visual experience for MSN High-Speed across the network I gave creative support to the High-Speed team. I oversaw and maintained a high quality of design and gave advice on how to improve the user experience in relation to business and technical goals. I pushed strongly for an improved design that focused more on user-centered goals and a strategy that included the MSN network as a whole.
